Father of the Year!

After reading about Stalin,Mussolini, and Good ole Aldof. I think we all realized two things. One, they're crazy and affected the world in ways that nobody could imagine. Two, they may have gotten there bad habits from their Papas. I mean look closely. Beating moms, alcholics, very strict lifestyles. I think it's oblvious that the parenting had some sortof affect on their children.

The Treaty.

After reading the Treaty of Versailles I felt that it was somewhat fair. I feel that the Germans needed to be tought a valid lesson ,and they were. But, I do feel that the lesson should be aimes more towards the German Government ,and not so much the innocent German civilians. I feel if the civilians are punished they may become full of agression and feel the need to attack and start another war.

Man those Germans aren't the brightest.

As the war was starting to wrap itself up the Germans had a golden oppurtunity to totally demolish the French and rightfully say they had won the war. However, they got pretty cocky and ended up losing all their slients and getting pushed back to their original starting point. Now they couldn't control losing all their allies ,but at the same time they shouldn't have gone for so much land. All in all they could've played it safer ,and I truly think that if they were safer they may have won the war.

Gotta love that Trench Warfare!

Today in World Wars we got to see a video reenactment of the Battle of Passchendaele. I thought the video itself was very informative. Even though that ending was totally unrealistic, it was still a very good film. I liked the way that the director showed the fight scenes ,and how he got an up close shot at all the hand to hand combat. I was talking with my table mate Brian Berger ,and we both felt that you don't here as much about WW1 as you would WW2. Now I know that WW2 has a bigger impact on people ,but at the same time I wish more people knew about some of these terriable battles ,and maybe not so much about the WW2 Holocaust.
